2.1 Cautionary statements

Before continuing, you should read the following cautionary statements.

When live streaming, everything that streams can be permanently captured and stored by a viewer. Therefore, you must be very careful to not show (visually or audibly) anything you do not want available to the public. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Passwords
• Confidential student information
• Background noise and conversations
• Answering the call of the wild burrito

One way to mitigate any of these unfortunate events is to carefully setup OBS and refrain from using a “Display Capture” option at all costs.

You should always be ‘stream-aware’.
