Comprehensive Exam I

Please read the following page carefully.

The exam that you took on Wednesday night will be referred to as Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1. This grade will be posted for you, to Canvas, under this title as soon as they are collected.

At 6:00 PM on Thursday, an exam will open on Canvas entitled Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2. You will have the opportunity to complete the second attempt by Monday at 5:00 AM. You will be given an unlimited number of attempts to complete Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2. Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2 will be exactly the same questions as Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1. You will be provided an electronic PDF file of the exam questions through Canvas.

Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1 will not be scored as part of your final grade.

*Only **Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2** will be considered in the calculation of your final class grade.*

You must complete Comprehensive Exam Attempt 2 in order to receive a score for the Comprehensive Exam I portion of your overall grade. Failure to take the second attempt will result in a zero for the Comprehensive Exam I regardless of what your Comprehensive Exam Attempt 1 was. The “Learning Incentive” bonus for Comprehensive Exam I, as described in the syllabus, will be determined based on your Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1 score.

Please note, you must complete Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1 in order to be allowed to complete Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2. Those who missed Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1 that have already submitted documentation to gain an excused absence for missing the exam will take their makeup exam on March 6, at 6PM in Hand 1144. Failure to take Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 1 will automatically merit you a zero for Comprehensive Exam I Attempt 2.
